Deep channel bending is a bending operation that always requires special care and setting knowledge. Problems could occur with the amount of machine open height available and the expensive of special tooling required to do the job.

Amada's Deep Bending Punch Holder utilizes existing tooling to provide deeper bending potential. No special "goose-neck" tooling is required, reducing tooling costs.

By replacing the distance pieces with the Deep Bending Punch Holder and using a die holder of 39mm, 200 x 180mm deep bends can be achieved.

The Deep Bending Punch Holder can also be used as a "window tool", allowing closed components to be formed easily. The holder may also be used with a taper wedge for any fine adjustments.
