There are various accessories available for press brake tooling which have an dramatic effect on reducing component marking.

Marking protection strip protects the component from marking caused by the shoulder of the die. The strip is adhesive on one side enabling ease of location on both of the shoulders of the die. When compared to 0.3mm Urethane sheet, typical life expectancy is at least two times greater and provides the user with improved accuracy.

Another huge potential problem is "pick-up" of the material on the die from materials such as Zintec or Galvatite. The Marking Protection Strip prevents this build up.

The Marking Protection Strip is a relatively inexpensive way of increasing productivity by reducing component finishing operations after the press brake cell.

Urethane sheet has been a press brake tooling accessory since Amada began manufacturing press brake tooling 30 years ago.

Urethane sheet is a proven aid for reduction of component marking is required. The Urethane sheet is supplied at the length required by the user.

The sheet is place on top of the die prior to bending. As bending takes place the Urethane sheet protection the component from any abrasion caused by bending and dramatically reduces the marking on soft materials such as aluminium and copper which have a tendency to mark easily.
