Starting from the metal sheet to the dock leveller

Starmatik has produced a complete system for the production of dock levellers: the system which is completely integrated is composed of a laser table, fed by a charging tower: 5 bays for putting in order the subcomponents necessary for dock levellers and setting up for different models of levellers: Press bending cell, complete with automatic tools change of the press brake and gripper change. Assembling cell, complete with robot which picks up the bent pieces one by one and puts them together in the fixing jigs. Welding cell, where all sections are completely welded. The system, controlled by one operator, needs only one hour to produce 1 dock leveller complete and is then ready for the mounting of hydraulic and electric moving components. The fixing jigs are automatic and motorized allowing the company to produce even extremely small batch sizes (batch 1). The production programming is made offline and the start up process is taken from the order confirmation, the supply of metal sheet, the nesting of the parts, the machine loading and the single cell programming are all managed automatically.
