Cut-to-length lines

The standard production entails cutting lines manufactured for the following characteristics:

  • Cutting width of 1000, 1250, 1500 and 1850 mm;
  • Coil weight of 7 and 12 ton;
  • Thickness of 0.2 mm to 1.2 mm (light-weight lines)
  • Thickness of 0.4 mm to 2.5 mm of soft steel and 1.5 - 2 mm of stainless steel (heavy-duty lines).

The operational mode is the Start-Stop type with driver in direct current for cutting speeds of 30 m/min. and cutting tolerance of +/- mm 0.2.

The lines are available in two configurations:

Cut-to-length lines
LTB
with straightener and compact crosswise shears where the infeeder and the straightener trip the stoppage to make the crosswise cut. This typically called Start-Stop line is suitable for cutting normal materials such as galvanized, pickled, hot and cold laminated steel etc.

Cut-to-length lines
RTB
with separate straightener and continuous infeed without stoppages, loop control for the infeed unit complete with crosswise shears. This typically called Roll-Feeder line is more suitable for cutting materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and pre-painted metal, as the rollers of the straightener do not leave shaded marks on the surfaces.

The cutting lines can be made up of:

  • Light-weight decoilers, with brake and stand support plus manual expansion spindle suitable for sheet metal cutting requirements;
  • Heavy-duty decoilers with drive and overhenging spindle plus hydraulic expansion, equipped with hydraulic loading cradle;
  • Straightening unit with 5, 7 and 11 rolls;
  • Roll infeed unit;
  • Lengthwise cutting unit with circular blades, manual shifting system and rapid roll-blocking system. In alternative these may be built in the straighteners (LTB configuration) and in the feeders (RTB configuration);
  • Mechanical guillotine type shears for the crosswise cut;
  • Loading and stacking devices with lengths from 2000 mm to 6000 mm.
