Another potential secondary finishing operation occurs when marking or bruising appears on the component from the stripper plate on the
punch assembly or guide. This generally appears more frequently when
punching on soft grade materials such as aluminium or copper.
The spring supplied with the light duty spring units require less stripping force for the
punching operation. This has dramatic effects upon the amount of marking on the component, by eliminating any bruising left on the sheet from the stripper plate.
By eliminating a potential secondary operation to clean up the component the user is able to reduce productivity costs and increase the speed of the job through the manufacture and production cell.
