ROBOTIZED BENDING SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC TOOLS AND GRIPPER CHANGE.

FBS (acronym for Flexible Bending System) is our flagship as for robotized bending systems. Fronius - over half a century young - is a market leader in welding technology and it has just installed a FBS bending system.

This is a singularity system employing a six axis robot, plus a longitudinal external axis, where one of its special features is to automatically change the upper and lower tools on the press brake.
Also with the interaction of our Supervisor software, a product list is sent to the machine and controlled by the range of components and number of parts as per the production requirements. As a consequence of this it instructs the robot the way and the order that must be followed for putting the tools on the press. Furthermore for each piece to be bent the software allows the robot to recognize the relative gripper required. The grippers are located in a warehouse, close to the press brake and are automatically selected.

SimulEasy 3D, the off-line programming software creates virtually the workcell and it makes possible the realization of robot and press brake programs in hidden time.
This way to program without interruptions of the production process optimizes the system efficiency reducing extremely the set up times.

The FBS solutions, like that one just installed in Fronius, are expressly indicated for companies with own production and small batch sizes because FBS assures certain times of tools change and production! By using this system the manufacturer can enter the market with high standard quality products, carrying out the orders in a short time, having certain and invariable production cost per unit .
